3 Cheers… for the Red, White, and Blue

Thanks for visiting my blog.  When I started it, I wanted to be able to participate in some of the card challenges that my fellow Stampin’ Up consultants participate in, and some of which are on the design teams.  I am happy to report that I am not only participating in one with this post, but two!!!  You can play along to if you want to. For details, just follow the links by clicking on the challenge pictures. These challenges vary from color challenges to sketch challenges, to using a specific stamp set or theme.  This week, they are both color challenges.

First I will share the card I chose to post for the challenge.  Note that I used Real Red, Whisper White, and Night of Navy, as Midnight Muse (as listed under the PPA207 challenge) is discontinued so we can use any blue color choice.  I used a favorite new stamp set, Work of Art, as well as a returning favorite, Happy Hour.  These are two stamp sets we sell that offer so many possibilities!!

Next, here is another card I designed at the same time.  I had a really hard time choosing, but wanted to post both for you to see.  All of the items used in this card are in our new SU Catalog.  The striped paper above is from a discontinued DSP Stack from our seasonal catalog.   All of the other items, used on both cards, our listed below.

I hope you enjoyed these cards, and check back for more from my Paper Room in the near future!!  I would love it if you would leave a comment below and let me know which of these cards is your favorite!!

Creatively Yours,

  1. Bobbi, these are both wonderful cards. The red stripe background on the first one reminds me of the flag, of course. The background DSP paper on the second one reminds me of a tablecloth at a 4th of July picnic! Thanks for playing along at Pals Paper Arts this week.

  2. Wow, Bobbi! I love both of your cards. Work of Art makes the perfect swoosh for behind the sentiment. You used the challenge colors perfectly. Thanks for playing at my two favorite challenges: The Paper Players and Pals Paper Arts!
