Have you taken advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE DSP Special in July?  It ends in Just a few short days!

I just love all of the Designs in this catalog, and don’t think you can go wrong with any of them.   My personal favorite is Confetti Celebration, but I have found great uses for them all. What is YOUR favorite?

We also have just one more day left of the Weekly Deals.  New deals will be announced on Tuesday.  For now, here are the items being offered, and I have sold several of them already this week.

Finally… Have you checked out the Paper Pumpkin, a monthly subscription that is delivered right to your door?  WOW!  This program started off good, but there were some concerns about the quality and quantity of what you were getting for your money.  However, as always, Stampin’ Up listened to their consultants and customers and have REALLY stepped it up this year.   The past few months have been stunning, and I am so excited about what I am hearing about the months to come!!   Now, thru September 10th, you can sign up and get the first two months for HALF PRICE!  Regular price, and that will be charged after the first two months, is $19.95 plus tax.  Shipping is included in the subscription price!  Click on one of these links, or the picture below, to take you to the Paper Pumpkin site.  Enter Promo Code HALFOFF2 to take advantage of the special price, and be sure to find me to name as your consultant.  My zip code is 66614 in the system.

Thank you for visiting My Paper Room!  Have fun shopping, and let me know if you have any questions!

Masculine Birthday with a Freshly Made Sketch

Welcome to my Paper Room!

As with my last post, this card was created earlier this weekend in a much larger “paper room” shared by several other ladies at a fundraising crop event.  It is always fun to play with friends, and have them there to bounce ideas off of.

I recently got the WETLANDS stamp set and have been chomping at the bit to play with it.   This ended up being a perfect layout challenge by Freshly Made Sketches #145- A Sketch By Narelle.  Here is a look at it.

I love these challenges, and the versatility they offer, while still helping me to “think outside the box”.

I used two colors on the duck image by carefully inking the bird and grass separate.  Had I been at home I would have used my Stampin’ Write Markers.  The background grasses were a different stamp image from the same set which I stamped first, before placing the duck where I wanted it.  The Woodgrain Embossing Folder (#127821) was the perfect backdrop for this layout, and the subtle dotted print from the Flowerpot DSP (#133698) was the perfect addition of color.  I can always count on Candy Dots to add a bit of dimension to my projects!  Check out all of the items that I used on this cared below my signature, and thanks for visiting!

I Heart Challenges

Welcome to my Paper Room!

My paper room expanded a bit this weekend, as I attended a fundraising crop event in Emporia, Kansas.  I spent Friday night creating my challenge cards.  Had I been thinking, I would have taken a picture of my work area. WOW!  What a mess I made, but had so much fun doing it.

My first challenge card this week was designed for two challenges, PPA212- a Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge, and Fab Friday 46– a fun color challenge!  First, I will share the challenges, then my creation, followed by a little bit of information on my card.

Fab Fri46

This card was fun for me, as I absolutely LOVE all of these colors!!!   BUT together???   That was interesting!

I had taken my new stamp set LARGER THAN LIFE ALPHABET & NUMBERS with me, determined to play with it this weekend.  Play with it I did!!!  And it is a fabulous set.  In the next few days I will be sharing another fun project that I did with it.  But for now… once I decided to use this set, the fun was coming up with a three letter word that worked.  I won’t begin to share some of the ones my friends and I discussed using, but needless to say, we had fun with it.    Considering that I was limited on supplies that I had with me, I think this card toward out pretty darn cute, and I will definitely be revisiting this sketch challenge, as well as the color challenge!!   That adorable heart came from my WORK OF ART set.  I don’t leave home without it!!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.  Check out the items below that were used in making this card.

AND… don’t you just LOVE the DSP in this catalog???  I used the Confetti Celebration (#133692), Maritime (#133696) and the All Abloom Paper Stack, which is not part of the special, but awesome).  You still have time to take advantage of the July Special!!  Click the picture below to go to my site and check it out!  It includes all EIGHT of the regular Designer Series Paper packs!

Happy Challenges

Welcome to my Paper Room!!

WOW!  My second challenge card this week, and once again, it involves two challenges.  This beautiful (and challenging) color palette is brought to you by The Paper Players, PP204.  The fun layout that I worked with was created by Julee with Mojo Monday Challenge, MOJO354.

Now, for my creation!!  I just LOVE this new stamp set, Blessed By God.

I used Wisteria Wonder card stock for the card base, along with the Chevron Ribbon in Wisteria Wonder.  The other three colors in this challenge are from our new In Colors.  The background card stock is Blackberry Bliss, along with the ink used for the beautiful cross and the sentiment.  Lost Lagoon DSP from the Background Paper Stack was used for the Chevron print and the flower.  I have used this Paper Stack A LOT!!  Finally, I brought in  Mossy Meadow to frame the Cross image and for the leaves, but not thinking it showed well, I popped it by adding some of the same color ribbon over top of the Chevron.  It is almost ALWAYS a great finishing touch to use Candy Dots, which I thought helped to pull out the color of the Chevron Ribbon.   See below for links to all of the items that were used on this card.

Check back for more fun projects, and feel free to leave a comment!!

Bundle of Fun

Welcome to my Paper Room!

I had so much FUN making this card with the Flower Patch Bundle!!!  Bundle?  Oh yeah!  A bundle is two amazing items that coordinate, that Stampin’ Up offers for a 15% discount!   I was playing with this set that I had just receiving before attending a 2 day cropping event with some friends.  I could not wait to get it out and play, and BOTH of my friends ended up ordering a set of their very own.  Yep, definitely a fun set!!  You can get the Flower Patch Stamp Set ($25.95), which is Photopolymer and SUCH a nice crisp clean image, along with the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits Dies ($24.95)!  When you order the bundle it is only $43.25!!

To make the two toned images in this set, there are so many options!  I used the same color on the leaves, Mossy Meadow, and stamped off for the background to remove some color.  I have seen some use two similar shades to create a similar effect.  On the Hello Honey flower shown, I was able to stamp right on it with a darker color to pull out the flower center with Tangelo Twist.  While I mostly played with our new In Colors, I definitely think the use of Melon Mambo added a necessary pop to the card!!  The great thing about this… so many options!!!!

See all the products listed below!   Hope you enjoyed my Bundle of Fun!!

I’m Back… and Ready to Play

Welcome to my Paper Room!  I have been missing for a few days, as my father-in-law passed away and there was not much time to play.   However, I am back, and not only ready to play, but ready to participate in a couple of fun card challenges this week.  I hope to participate in more as time goes on, and welcome you to play along!  This week I combined colors from one challenge, and a design layout from another.

Pals Paper Art Challenges are great for getting the creative juices flowing, and always make me think outside the box with colors.  I absolutely love the combination of colors this week, and will be using them together more often.  To help me in my layout, I am using the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge.  As we have recently lost a member of our PALS group, Ms. Edna Miller, I decided to use sentiment from my favorite new hostess set to send to her family.  Bloom With Hope has so much to offer, for those that like to stamp, to those that like to color (with our new Blendabilities!!!!) and even for a soft touch to scrapbook pages!   If you would like to have a party and earn this set please let me know!  $150 in orders gets you $25 in FREE product!!!

Here is my card I made, using both of these challenges.  Sure hope you like it!!!

I have listed the items below that were used in making the card.  The DSP of the Daffodil Delight is not listed below, as it is a retired one.  However, we have a ton of great DSP available that would work well on this card, and our DSP is currently on a GREAT SPECIAL… Buy 3, Get 1 FREE!!!

Thanks for visiting my site.  Let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to leave a comment.
